2001 i started posting my first WETPIX in a community on the web together with some friends. A short while after starting this, i had my own conference. It existed for more than two years counting about fourty active memebers posting pix of themeselves in the bathroom. Most of the Users where editing their pix with photoshop, because we all just had really cheap, bad digi-cams in the year 2001. Some of my best WETPIX were put in the WETPIX CALENDAR 2002, which was printed in pocket size with a spiral. In 2003 I started my own thing out of it and began to shoot whole series instead only single pix. From this time I worked without using photoshop or smthg like that to change the raw photographs. The latest series called NUWET where created between 2003 and 2004, I finished four of them. After five years education in analog darkrooms, i still prefer to create effects by using the real 'tools' than software and plug-ins.

'schweinekram' has in german many meanings, and most of them apply to this project. it refers to 'low quality' food, sexual dirtiness, naughtiness and unconventional pleasures. It means smut, dirt, rubbish, gross and piggish stuff. essen in german means food as much as eating, so the word food could as well mean 'to eat' and vice versa. throughout centuries, human history has been impregnated with ideals of beauty, which change with the zeitgeist and have a very large impact on today's food-culture.

i observed how this impact affected people around me, consciously and unconsciously. i tried to understand my own 'female perspective' on this subject. i have to stress that this project is not a philosophical discourse about healthy eating or eating disorders and the like. however we cannot deny the fact that we live in a fast-paced society, which demands of the average human to be healthy and beautiful in order to be able to live a successful and fulfilling life.
food, lust, sensuality...the main focus now lies on the passage to my visual realization in photography. i chose the genre of self-portrait, to express and accentuate my personal and individual relationship to this subject. it is not my intention to set up a series of 'exhibitionistic' photographs. the somewhat unreserved pictures, made with a carefully chosen esthetic, are the subjective and artistic translation of my thoughts.

Five years Education as a Photographer, most of the time I was concentrated on Portrait and Nude Photography. I still love to work in a professional studio and keep on using my analog camera.
